LA JOLLA, Calif., -- Feb. 28, 2005 -- California Micro Devices (NASDAQ: CAMD), one of the sponsoring companies of the Seventh Annual US FPD DisplaySearch Conference, today announced that it will be showcasing its popular Application Specific Integrated Passive™ (ASIP™) solutions for emerging digital television, flat panel monitor and mobile handset display applications. It will be the first public showing of the company’s recently announced MediaGuard™ CM2020 and CM2021 HDMI port protection devices for next generation HDMI and DVI applications.

New MediaGuard™ Family of Integrated Port Protection and Interface Solutions
The CM2020 and CM2021 provide unparalleled protection and signal integrity for HDMI transmitters and receivers, supplying ESD (electrostatic discharge) protection for all 12 data lines utilizing the industry’s lowest capacitance (0.9 pF) diodes. In addition to ESD protection, these products incorporate backdrive protection, level shifting and overcurrent protection in a single device that has lower inductance and facilitates optimal routing for maximal signal integrity (see separate release).

California Micro Devices’ application specific ESD protection and EMI (electromagnetic interference) filtering solutions are designed into a broad range of leading TVs, flat panels, set top boxes, PCs, computing peripherals and mobile handset displays. • ESD solutions featuring the PicoGuard™ CM1213 family of ESD diode arrays, providing up to 8 channels of 8kV contact ESD protection in a single package, with only 1pF of capacitance - the industry’s lowest capacitance solution for DVI, HDMI, USB, and IEEE 1394 ports.
• Praetorian™ EMI filter arrays for the latest multimedia wireless handsets with high data rates between the processor and their high resolution displays. Groundbreaking Praetorian™ process technology allows the integration of spiral inductors with resistors, capacitors and ESD protection diodes in a single chip, providing superior EMI filtering, high cutoff frequencies, minimal insertion loss, sharp roll-off and greater levels of attenuation at high frequencies.
• Centurion™ low capacitance EMI filters for wireless handset high speed color LCD interfaces. California Micro Devices’ proprietary Centurion™ advanced zener process technology provides enhanced EMI filtering performance, greater ESD protection and dramatically lower capacitance levels.
