Hires Sales Director and
Opens Branch Office in Japan
New Operation Underlines Importance
of Japanese Mobile and
Digital Consumer Electronics Markets to CMD
MILPITAS, Calif., -- June 19, 2006

Micro Devices (NASDAQ: CAMD), a leading supplier of application specific
analog semiconductor products for mobile handsets, personal computers
and digital consumer electronics, today announced that Mr. Hiroki Teraoka
had been named Sales Director and Country Manager, Japan. The company
also announced that it has established a new branch office in Tokyo.
Prior to joining California Micro Devices, Mr. Teraoka held
the position of sales director for Japan with Trident Technologies Inc.,
where he gained valuable experience and success in the digital consumer
market. Mr. Teraoka also held prior positions with Cypress, AMD, and most
recently, Shinden Hytechs. He holds a BS degree from Nippon University.
“We are very pleased to have Mr. Teraoka head our sales operation
in Japan in order to expand our presence in the Japanese marketplace and
better serve our existing customers,” stated David Casey, Vice President,
